The Swing Festival of gods and goddesses is celebrated in the Jagannath Temple at Puri, and at other temples in the town and all over Orissa. Idols of Radha and Krishna are placed in elaborately decorated chariots and made to swing. The festival is from August 7 to 12 this year.
